story: EW reported it was Danny Clinch, who got Radiohead to play Bonnaroo. They didn't want to play there till Danny told them it was just like European festivals :)

Clinch: 2006 was the first time Radiohead played . I tried to get them to my portrait set up before their set but they were too focused on playing the show. Since my portrait set up is usually all natural light, I figured it wouldn’t happen. Their set proved to be really epic and the band was really excited how the show went and how much love the bonnaroo fans gave them. Afterwards Thom said to me , “Is your portrait setup still open? Cause we would love to get a photograph of us to document what a great time we had” To prepare for situations just like this, we had built a lighting rig out of florescent light fixtures we bought at home depot. Needless to say, it worked.
